Despite the abundance of modern high-tech materials, we still enjoy decorating houses with wood.
A Russian person has a love of wood in blood. But how could it be otherwise, because before everything was made of wood - and huts, and everything that was in them: spoons, cups, buckets, even children's toys. However, we are not alone in addiction to this natural material. For example, the Japanese love of wood is also a kind of national peculiarity, the Chinese, relying on feng shui, believe that the tree brings harmony and good fortune to the house. The French and Italians cherish inherited tables and chests of drawers and prefer them to fashionable, but artificial pieces of furniture. It’s nice to touch the tree - lively and warm material stores the energy of the sun and the forest, promotes relaxation, soothes. Sometimes it’s enough just to imagine a small house in the village: bright rooms with wooden floors, warmed by the sun, dressers, bookcases and all sorts of cute trinkets, breathing warmth and comfort - and you feel really rested. It would seem that with the development of new technologies all sorts of “new products” - plastic, chipboard, laminate - should replace and displace an outdated tree. But natural materials are back in fashion. And this is probably forever. Like proper nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. One of the secrets of popularity - the tree organically fits into any style. So it happened historically.
Today, typesetting is again popular. Of course, this is not cheap, but it is beautiful and durable. Piece or art parquet, parquet or massive board - the choice of flooring is quite large. And how nice it will be to walk barefoot on this floor! Variegated homespun walkways combine perfectly with wooden floors - if you choose country. You can throw a soft skin on the boards - if you chose the style of a chalet. And the parquet, which boasts an expensive pattern, let it remain uncovered. Wooden skirting boards give completeness and emphasize beauty.
Again wooden windows come back to our daily life, replacing non-environmentally friendly plastic. In any case, a wooden frame will transform life. Slopes of windows can be decorated with wooden planks or painted in natural colors.
Wooden wall panels, wooden frames of doors and stained-glass windows are returning from the modern era of the early twentieth century, custom-made solid wood furniture is again becoming fashionable. Chairs, beds, armchairs from a single cut of a tree of large diameter look like unique museum exhibits and are especially popular among lovers of country and eclecticism. Low tables, cabinets, benches, richly decorated with ornaments and inlays, are an indispensable attribute for connoisseurs of oriental motifs: Indian, Arab, African. Classical furniture made of valuable species is especially appropriate in the study: tall bookcases, a comfortable armchair, a large writing desk - everything is conducive to work.
If the interior of a noble solid wood is not affordable - it does not matter.Even an old buffet or shelf for spices will add charm. You can update your grandmother’s chest of drawers, paint it in aged white or bright colors, paint it with flowers. In a country-style kitchen, all this coexists peacefully with state-of-the-art kitchen appliances. If there is no way to make global changes to your interior, decorate it with unusual details. It can be driftwood hangers, decorative carved vases, lamps from wood growths and bizarre branches. An old chest will fit harmoniously into any interior, and the walls will be decorated with paintings in wooden frames - and the house will breathe!
