The era of hippies and glamorous disco! A hat with exorbitantly wide brim, platform shoes, a crocheted t-shirt, a dress embroidered with sequins - the 70s entered a lot into the history of fashion ...

Swim against the tide, look for your zest, give the image an original touch - this is the fashionable motto of the 70s. In this decade, they fully enjoy their freedom conquered in the 60s: skirts are getting shorter, topics are frivolous, trousers are already narrower. Colors and patterns are given a green light: floral prints seamlessly combine with a strip, a cage with peas, a psychedelic design with folk embroidery.

All is allowed! The most active experimenters are adherents of the hippie movement - "flower children". They weave fresh buds into their hair, wear pink glasses, play guitars in city parks and dream of "love and peace." At the same time, the “queen of disco” in strewn sequins, tight as a second skin, stretch dresses bare their legs to the maximum and “light” on the dance floors of mega-discos. Of course, with a hairstyle likeLights Fossett (from the cult film Charlie's Angels) and sparkling make-up.
The most fantastic ideas come to life, and young informals, even in solid Paris, easily conquer high fashion catwalks. Japanese designer Kenzo attracts attention with fancy skirts in folk style. Young Yves Saint Laurent creates a sketch of a dazzlingly bright jumpsuit with a shoulder strap, which then goes down in history. Of course, the king of haute couture Karl Lagerfeld does not stand aside, dressing women in a snow-white ensemble, and a la suit for tennis: a blouse and a pleated skirt. By the way, all these revolutionary ideas were brilliantly demonstrated on the pages of Burda magazines.
