"eyeing"? However, researchers have no doubt: color affects, and different people in different ways.

For centuries, doctors and scientists have been convinced that color rays are a powerful healing tool. They have a beneficial effect on mental state and physical health. But until now it was believed that different colors equally affect everyone. For example, red stimulates the psyche, blue calms, blue discourages appetite. However, recent discoveries are changing the picture.
The famous English doctor, vice president of the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK) Christopher Smith conducted a series of studies on the pigment layer of the retinal epithelium - a protective screen that filters light on the retina of the eye, and came to the conclusion that we are all born with a genetically programmed tendency to certain the colors and intolerances of others. And no matter how you like, say, blue, if it's not your color, it can negatively affect your well-being.
Color variety
There are color-sensitive receptors in the retina — nerve cells, or cones, of three types. Each of them has its own type of color-sensitive pigment - to red, green and blue. The retinal pigment layer contains anthocyanidins. Our protection against light depends on the saturation of the pigment layer with these substances. If we perceived the entire range of sunlight unchanged by these cones, they would have burned out. Therefore, nature has thought through the process so that each of the three colors is reflected by the corresponding pigment cells.
Dr. Smith found that even in a healthy person, at least one color does not have enough protective pigments, which determines the color constitutional type of a person. There are no people who perceive red, blue, and green equally well. The scientist developed special glasses with filters and put them on volunteers participating in the experiment. The reaction of the body was monitored using the manual muscle testing method, when a peculiar muscle weakness indicates an imbalance in the body. For example, in the green glasses of the subject, the muscles lose their tone - which means that this is the color poorly perceived by his organs of vision.
Which one are you: RED, GREEN OR BLUE?
All of us can be divided into three main types according to color tolerance.
RED. Representatives of this type respond well to blue and green, but red in the range 619-635 nm has a devastating effect on them. They do not feel the full power of the color of sensuality, passion and romance. With constant interaction with red, such people have reduced immunity, chronic diseases can worsen, depression, apathy may develop, and irritability may increase. To avoid harm to health, do not particularly lean on red fruits and vegetables. Representatives of the red type often develop an allergy to strawberries, raspberries, cherries, tomatoes. It is interesting that such people do not tolerate products containing aluminum, and these are some cosmetics products, graduate students, medicines, for example, popular heartburn preparations, as well as food foil - you should not cook food in aluminum dishes and aluminum foil.
GREEN. The second type of people perceives red and blue well, but the reaction to the green color in the range of 550 nm is negative. Everything green, whether it is an apple or curtains in a room, weakens a person. "Greens" are very sensitive to nickel alloys, but this is most of the dishes. Cupronickel ware, old pots are harmful to them.Women do not tolerate jewelry, and chains and rings can cause irritation on the skin.
BLUE. The third category of people does not genetically tolerate dark blue in the range of 440 nm. They should restrict prunes, dark grapes in their diet, avoid blue tones in home interiors, wardrobes, etc. Blue ones react very strongly to pesticides and herbicides found in many fruits and vegetables. And people with congenital intolerance to the blue spectrum are more prone to severe depression than others. It is no coincidence that in English the spleen, a depressed state is called so: blues.
In search of harmony
Dr. Smith has developed a system of colors that harmonize the work of the human brain. According to his theory, there are antidote colors for all people. If red is not "digestible", then medicinal colors will be turquoise and cyan. It’s useful to look at them in the morning. You can hang at home turquoise curtains, the color of which in the morning will cheer you up. Or arrange cute trinkets around the house - a vase or a picture of the necessary color to set yourself up for a wave of health. Food containing blue and blue tones is welcome. And the turquoise background on the working computer will become a great support for the eyes and help them not to get tired any longer.
For people with poor green tolerance, blue and violet are healing. It would be nice to have clothes of such colors in the wardrobe. At every opportunity to admire the cloudless sky and sea. From food, dark grapes, prunes, eggplant, etc. are very useful. For "blue", yellow-green, salad colors will be harmonizing. This is just the case when the active consumption of greens, cucumbers, apples is an excellent means of healing.
But do not go to extremes and do everything around you only in a useful color. Dr. Smith’s developments in the field of color therapy are used by hundreds of doctors around the world, including Russian specialists.
Color therapist himself
■ Try changing the background on the computer and observe: how quickly your eyes get tired, how you feel at the end of the day. 50-60% of people absorb the rich turquoise color best, the rest is blue or green. If you find your background color, you can get rid of headache, irritability, constant drowsiness. This is especially important if you have to spend many hours in front of a computer screen.
■ Think about how you sleep, what mood you are in during the day. Maybe you constantly dress in black? This color is considered severe and depressive. Be sure to dilute it with cheerful tones - a bright scarf, jewelry. Try to give preference to light, neutral pastel colors in clothes.
■ Interested in knowing how your child perceives colors? Test: put colorful pencils or several products in front of it, for example green and red apples, red, yellow and green peppers, prunes, an orange, and ask for a choice. What will the baby's hand reach for? The colors that he chooses are likely to be healing for him.
