The Christmas mood comes long before the chimes, along with a green fluffy beauty, shiny tinsel and garlands.
Antique
You are fascinated by Catholic Christmas, your choice is an old-fashioned tree decorated with lovely fragile Christmas toys, cartons, a golden coffin, with an angel or a star of Bethlehem on the crown.
From nature
In a great fashion, Christmas trees decorated with "natural" toys - flowers, fruits. Rowan brushes will look beautiful on green branches, instead of a star you can use a ruddy apple.
Retro style
Indulge in nostalgia under a Soviet-era Christmas tree with a red star on top, with airplanes, corncobs, balls with Kremlin towers and a garland of flags with skiers and skaters.
Handwork
Christmas tree hobbies - for those who even during the holidays do not want to forget about their hobbies. Needleworkers can decorate the New Year tree with their cutest masterpieces - knitted or embroidered.
Kids fun
Will there be many children in the house for the New Year? Dress up the Christmas tree especially for kids with inexpensive, but cute toys: trains, cars, dolls, teddy bears, key chains. It will be both decorations and gifts for young guests. Or make a “sweet” Christmas tree with sweets, chocolates, lollipops, nuts in gold and silver wrappers, gingerbread cookies hanging on ribbons, caramelized apples and other tasty joys. Complete it with safe, fun confetti crackers. And at the end of the holiday, the children will choose their favorite sweets from the green beauty. If you are celebrating the New Year with your family, come up with and make homemade Christmas tree decorations. Snowflakes, balls, garlands can be cut out of paper (metallized, velvet, corrugated), molded from plasticine or even made from dough!
Winter fairy tale
To make the house a match for an unusual Christmas tree, it is worth choosing an original decor for it too. An interesting idea is thematic photo wallpaper or photo printing on fabric with winter landscapes and New Year's plots. It is possible to give the room a “snowy” charm with the help of light and sparkling draperies, mirrors “painted” with frosty patterns, crystal pendants, rotating sparkling balls and a “fabulous” illumination.
Holiday Flavors
What a New Year's smellless Christmas tree, tangerines and cinnamon! Citrus fruits will become not only a natural flavoring, but also a part of the decoration, if they are scattered on a festive table or turned into candlesticks. Of course, you can turn on an electric flavor with "Christmas" smells, but natural ones are more pleasant.
On the windowsill
We decorate the space by the window with beautiful compositions of large Christmas balls.Or we place glass "magic" balls on a windowsill with Christmas themes and an artificial snowstorm inside. Aromatic lamps and candlesticks in the form of New Year's snow-covered houses will look great here. Fine decoration - gilded spruce and pine cones in wicker baskets.
Branches in the snow
It is fashionable to turn the house into a fabulous forest, generously placing "snowy" branches in the apartment. To do this, they need to be lowered overnight in a hot, saturated saline solution. In the morning you will take out twigs, and when the water evaporates, white crystals of salt, similar to snow, will remain on the needles. An easier, but less environmentally friendly way - special sprays with artificial snow.
Little lights
Indispensable attributes of a winter holiday are candles. Make them compositions for the New Year's table. Solid, thick candles can be decorated with "rain" and even miniature Christmas toys (just attach them with pins).
And finally
■ You can dress a glamorous Christmas tree, suitable jewelry can be found in every home: necklaces, earrings and brooches with rhinestones, satin bows, lace, and let the diadem shine on top.
■ Choose a general theme for your Christmas tree decor. It can be associated with a profession, hobby, event, or just any idea you like. The main thing is not to restrain imagination.
■ It’s a wonderful idea to make a paper “snowfall” at home. You need to cut a lot of white paper circles with a diameter of about 5 cm, string it and hang it on a chandelier, near the windows, in the doorways. It will take a lot of time, but the result is worth it!
■ After all the festive troubles, the “cherry on the cake” is only your personal, tiny Christmas tree with small toys on the bedside table for sweet, magical New Year's dreams. And do not forget to count the lambs for good luck at bedtime - after all, the year of the Blue Wooden Sheep is coming!
