Want to add an oriental touch to the interior of your room? Paint a wooden tray with fancy “cucumbers” in rich colors! Motives can be copied from the site for free.
YOU WILL NEED:
Simple wooden tray; shiny fuchsia spray paint; acrylic paints of orange, red, light and medium blue; transparent glossy varnish; tracing paper; copy paper; crepe masking tape; old newspapers; brushes of different thickness and width; pencil; scissors.
HOW TO MAKE:
First, circle the tray with a fuchsia spray paint. This is best done outside the home. If you are painting a tray indoors, carefully cover all surfaces that you can spray paint with old newspapers. Copy the pictures from the site (above), each on a separate sheet of tracing paper, then use carbon paper to transfer it to the surface of the tray. When copying motives, fix tracing paper and carbon paper on the tray with masking tape. Now remove the samples, carbon paper, and adhesive tape.
Motives with a thin brush manually paint with acrylic paints, as shown in the photo. First color one colored area, and after it dries, the next.
Finally, cover the painting with two layers of clear varnish. It will protect the tray from scratches, and in addition will give it an oriental shine.
