Round or square cardboard boxes are an excellent base for holiday gift wrapping. In addition to them, you only need paint and glue!
YOU WILL NEED: round cardboard boxes with lids with a diameter of 25 cm and a height of 8 cm; decoupage adhesive (e.g. Art Potch decoupage adhesive from C. Kreul); brush; golden and burgundy acrylic enamel; waterproof black marker (for example, from Edding); copies of sewing accessories in the following sizes: scissors - approx. 20.5 cm, large thimble - approx. 13 cm, coil - approx. 8 cm, stars - approx. 4.5 cm, small thimbles - approx. 3.5 cm. For the motif of a centimeter tape, put the centimeter tape directly on the copier and print the image in different sizes, or draw a centimeter tape on paper, enlarge the image on the copier.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: cover the edges of the lids and boxes inside with the enamel of the desired color. Leave to dry completely. Large motifs are for lids, small motifs are for the outside of the boxes. On the outside of the box are 13 stars or 18 small thimbles. It is best to print motifs on colored paper, such as pink or cream colors. Motives cut in the required quantity along the outer contours. Stick motifs on the lids and the outer sides of the boxes using decoupage glue.Stick centimeter tapes of different sizes on top of one another. After drying, cover the lids and boxes on top with decoupage glue, which is also a varnish. If desired, cover the labels with a waterproof marker.
Tip: if the person to whom the gift is intended is not keen on sewing, you can choose any other patterns for decoupage. Some options are shown in the photo series at the beginning of the master class.
