Such a pillow can be woven from knitting threads, choosing a combination to your taste. It looks unusual and interesting!

One side of this decorative pillow is woven in a circle of knitting threads. You can choose the threads of the texture, thickness and color that you like and are suitable for your interior. You can take the yarn of two colors, as in this example, or combine more colors, you can take the sectional dyeing yarn, and then it will create its own arbitrary circular pattern. You can alternate smooth and fancy yarn. In a word, there are many options.

Here a ready-made pillow is used, for which a pillowcase is made. If there is no pillow, sew it and fill it with syntepuhe / holofiber.

You will need:

- a wooden board (round is used here, but you can take a square or rectangle and draw a circle on them - it should be several centimeters larger than the size of the pillow);

- fairly large nails and a hammer;

- Knitting thread;

- large needles with a wide eye (as many as many types of yarn you will use, there are 2 types and 2 needles);

- round pillow;

- fabric for the back of the pillow;

- scissors;

- tailor pins;

- needle for hand sewing and thread.

Step 1

Determine the size of the circle and drive in a circle 50 nails at equal intervals from each other (you need an even number of nails).

Here a pillowcase is made for a pillow with a diameter of 36 cm. The diameter of the circle is 40 cm.

At the end of the thread of one of the skeins, make and tighten the loop and put on one of the nails. Start pulling the thread on the opposite nails as shown in the photo. When you pass all the nails, cut the thread, put it into a large needle and fasten the thread, threading it several times in the middle under the intersection of threads, tie a knot.

Step 2

Cut the thread from a skein of another color about 1.5 m long. Thread one end into a large needle. Fasten the other end in the middle. Now we start weaving. In the center, weave 10 threads through 10. Weave 2 circles in this way. Cut the thread of the same length from the second skein, insert into the second needle, fix the tip in the center. Weave the second thread in a checkerboard pattern relative to the first, also 10 rows through 10. Weave 1 circle with the second thread, then the circle with the first thread, and so on, forming a central circle with a diameter of 5-6 centimeters.

Step 3

Next, change the weaving pattern: weave not 10 through 10 threads, but 6 through 6. If the thread ends, hide the tip under the warp threads without tying the end of the next thread - they will snuggle and will be fixed with new weaving circles. Change the weaving pattern as the circle expands. After a certain amount, weave 4 next through 4 threads, then 2 after 2, eventually 1 through 1. Leave the loops about 1.7–2 cm long, cut the tip of the thread and thread into the weave.

Step 4

Remove weaving from nails.Loop the stitches into one another to make a pigtail. When you reach the end of the circle, cut the last loop in half, tuck one end into the next loop and tie the ends in a double knot.

Step 5

From the fabric, cut out a round part for the back of the pillow 5 cm larger than the wicker part. Put the braided part upside down on the fabric part (face up) in the center and pin the parts with pins. Sew the parts (manually or on the machine), leaving a hole for turning around 18 cm. Cut allowances everywhere except for the non-sewn area. Turn out the pillowcase, insert the pillow inside. Wrap the allowance inward and sew in the hole manually. Done.
