Starting in 2009 with cropped jeans, Peter soon discovered a true passion for sewing. He sews on a vintage machine and has a special love for 20th-century fashion.

Our hero today is Peter Lappin, a New Yorker living in Manhattan, as he emphasizes, "a stone's throw from the Garment District, a Manhattan area where New York boutiques, clothing stores, fashion centers and so on.) This refinement is important for Peter: according to him, it was in sewing that he found the true passion of his life.
Peter has no special education. To discover a new passion he was helped by the purchase of designer jeans in the commission. Jeans sat down perfectly, but were somewhat long. “Unfortunately, it turned out that hemming these jeans from a professional tailor was worth more money than I gave them in the store,” Peter recalls. “I don’t know how it crossed my mind, but I thought: why should I I don’t have to buy any inexpensive sewing machine on Amazon (I’ll note: before that I have never even touched the sewing machine, let alone know how it works) so that I could remake clothes for myself and the machine would soon pay off. "
Having done, in his own words, some Internet research, that is, having read what they write on forums and blogs about the best models from the newest ones, Peter chose the Kenmores typewriter of the 1960s or 70s. "In less than a week I could already sew!" he says. The same Internet and people who shared novice tailor's tips, videos and so on helped to gain basic skills.
Now, in the same way, Peter himself wants to share his experience with the whole sewing world. That is why, according to him, he leads his blog and page on Instagram. “To say that I love to create clothes is to say nothing,” he admits.

“For the past six years, I have devoted myself to sewing with monastic dedication,” says Peter. According to him, he sewed almost all types of men's and women's clothing - "from women's pajamas for the pattern of the 1920s to the classic men's pea jacket, from cocktail dresses to tracksuits."
