A faux fur clutch will immediately lift your spirits and add a twist to any look: it will give a modest ensemble an ultra-trendy touch and will look great even with a small black dress.

You will not want to part with a bright fur clutch either day or evening!

You will need:

  • artificial fur
  • lining fabric
  • non-woven Decovil
  • threads
  • swivel bag lock
  • thimble
  • patchwork ruler and plain, scissors
  • needle for hand sewing
  • tailor pins
  • trick marker

How to sew faux fur

Step 1

Cut out the details of the clutch with allowances of 1 cm. From the fur: front and back parts 27 x 14 cm, valve 27 x 12 cm. From the lining fabric: 27 x 28 cm (clutch), 27 x 12 cm (valve).

Step 2

When cutting, pay attention to the direction of the pile: on the rear part and valve, the pile should be directed upwards and down on the front part.

Step 3

Chip back, front parts and valve. In this case, fill the villi inside and grind slices. Then make side seams.

Step 4

The lock places should be strengthened with Decovil non-woven fabric: on the valve - in the middle at a distance of 3 cm from the outer edge; on the front part - in the middle at a distance of 6.5 cm from the upper edge. Install a lock on the front part.

Step 5

Start clutch and valve lining details. Run one side seam.Stitch the lining to the clutch on the front side. Fill the villi inside again.

Step 6

Important: to invert one side seam of the lining, do not. Press the Decovil non-woven fabric onto the lining valve at the lock installation site (see step 4).

Step 7

Clutch clean grind. Turn the clutch to the front side through the open side sections of the lining.

Step 8

Chip open lateral sections of the lining. At the same time, iron the seam allowances on the wrong side.

Step 9

Make a side seam with a stitch at the edge. If desired, this operation can be performed manually.

Step 10

To install part of the lock on the valve (if necessary, to take a lining on the clutch). To fix the lining at the edges of the valve, lay the manual stitches of the back needle stitch.

Tip:

If you do not want to carry the clutch in your hands all the time, sew on the sides of the ring or loops and fasten a metal chain on them.
